Ariana Grande's ex-fiancé Pete Davidson insists he's not married after false speculation

Pete Davidson has slammed recent rumours saying he's married.

The Saturday Night Live star - who was previously engaged to Ariana Grande - had a press release circulated about him which announced surprise nuptials with his childhood friend Michelle Mootreddy.

Naturally, the press release took everyone by surprise when it was sent round on Tuesday morning.

However Pete's lawyer has since issued a statement to PageSix claiming the release was "completely false" and Pete would be pursuing legal action.

A production company called Bodega Cats Presents issued the statement earlier this week, which read: "Pete and Michelle were childhood friends prior to starting Bodega Cats Presents and are married."

Pete was also quoted in the statement: "I am really excited to be part of this company and help people get a start in this industry.

"I never thought I would do something like this, but I met some of my closest friends doing stand-up, so I felt this was the right thing to do to give back to my community."

Pete and his friend Michelle are listed as co-CEO's and co-founders on the Bodega Cats website.

After the rumours sent fans wild, Pete's lawyer said: "Not a word of it is true. Mr. Davidson has no idea who this person is. We are investigating and considering all legal and equitable remedies."

The Mirror has contacted Pete's rep for further comment.

Pete was famously engaged to Ariana Grande in the summer of 2018 before calling it quits on their relationship a few months later.

Pete said that he had 'no hard feelings' about Ariana breaking off their engagement, especially as it came a month after her ex Mac Miller died from an accidental overdose on September 7, 2018.

Opening up about the split, Pete said he knew his time with Ariana would be coming to an end with Mac Miller's passing.

He said: "I totally got it. She would even tell you this. I was like, 'Listen, I get it, do whatever you’ve got to do, I’ll be here'. I think I said, 'I’ll be here until you don’t want me to be here'."

Pete continued. “I pretty much knew it was around over after that. That was really horrible, and I can’t imagine what that s**t is like.

"All I do know is that she really loved the s**t out of him, and she wasn’t putting on a show or anything. That was f***ed up. Prayers to his family and all of his friends.”

Ariana was with Mac for nearly two years before they split in May 2018.

She started dating Pete almost immediately afterwards and got engaged to him after only three weeks of being together.

After Pete's split from Ariana, he went on to casually date Kate Beckinsale, Margaret Qualley and was linked to Kaia Gerber.
