Ariana Grande returning for Manchester Pride two years after Arena bomb attack

Ariana Grande is returning to Manchester to headline the city's Pride celebrations this weekend, two years after the 2017 Arena bomb attack at her show.

It will be the US singer's first appearance in the city since the One Love Manchester tribute concert following the tragedy.

Ariana's return will see her perform at a brand new 9000 capacity outdoor venue at an old railway depot on Sunday.

She had previously promised fans she'd be back in Manchester for a special show but hadn't confirmed any of the details.

"We are of course coming and we love you," she tweeted to fans in December.

Ariana's visit to Manchester will coincide with the European leg of her tour in August, which starts with three dates in London before Birmingham, Sheffield and Dublin.

Tickets for Pride Live cost £37.95 for Saturday, £42.35 for Sunday or £70.95 for a weekend pass, including booking fees.

Years & Years, Bananarama and Pixie Lott are also on the line-up.

Following the announcement, Ariana tweeted: "Manchester babes, I’m so thrilled to be headlining pride. My heart. I cant wait to see u and I love u so so much."

Ariana was made an honorary citizen of Manchester after organising a star-studded concert to raise funds for the victims of the terrorist attack in the city in May 2017.

She also showed her support by getting a bee tattoo, like thousands of other Mancunians after the tragedy.

On 22 May 2017 Ariana had just finished performing at Manchester Arena when a suicide bomber detonated a homemade explosive device in the arena foyer killing 23 people.
