Ariana Grande reacts to breaking another chart record: 'What the f*** is going on?'

Ariana Grande has responded to the news that she is the first artist to claim the top three spots on the Billboard 100 Chart since The Beatles in 1964.

The pop star, who released her new album Thank U, Next last week, currently has three songs from the album in the top three chart spots at the same time.

“7 Rings” has stayed at number one for a fourth week, while "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" debuted at number two and ”Thank U, Next“ jumped up from number seven to number three.

Grande appeared to believe that the news was a joke by her fans, before tweeting: "What the f*** is going on?"

"I laughed when i saw this bc I thought y’all edited it. thank u from the bottom of my heart," she wrote. "For so many reasons. first time since the Beatles huh. that’s wild. I thought this was a joke when I saw it I’m not kidding. I love u. so much. always have n will. thank u for everything."

Thank U, Next  is currently at the number one spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and also in the UK, where Grande became the second female artist in history (after Madonna) to have the top two singles. She also became the first female artist in history to replace herself on the number one spot.

Grande is only the second musician in the Hot 100's 60-year history to achieve the feat, with the Beatles previously occupying the top three spots for five weeks in March and April 1964, even claiming the entire top five at one point.

The band dominated the top three spots with “Can't Buy Me Love,” “Twist and Shout” and “Do You Want to Know a Secret”.

Despite not attending the Grammys after a fall-out with producers over her scheduled performance, Grande won the award for Best Pop Vocal Album, for her 2018 LP Sweetener. The accolade is the first Grammy of her career.Writing on Instagram, Grande said she was “super grateful” for the award. “it’s me your tiny, highly emotional, italian, and now Grammy award winning friend. i’m super tarnished lol,” she told fans.
