Ariana Grande fans furious at Ticketmaster after Glasgow show sells out within 'seconds'

Ariana Grande fans have been left furious with Ticketmaster, after spots for the star's upcoming Glasgow show reportedly sold out within "seconds".

Dozens of people are currently airing their grievances on social media after attempting to buy tickets for the gig, which is scheduled for 17 September next year.

According to their testimonies, they were unable to complete their purchases despite logging onto the website promptly on Friday morning.

One Twitter user told Ticketmaster on the platform: "You put tickets on sale at 10am, but they’re gone in seconds, yet re-sale sites have hundreds of tickets for same gig at inflated prices. Not right. Please explain how this can happen?"

Some speculated that there was a limited supply of tickets due to pre-sales, such as one person who wrote: "Tried every way to get @ArianaGrande Glasgow tickets – watching Ticketmaster since 9.30am as they went on sale at 10am. "Must’ve been sold out in a minute due to unfair pre-sales."

A couple of people said that an error message had kept them from finalising their purchases, and several complained about the online queueing system.

The Independent has reached out to Ticketmaster for comment.

"Me and ma pals were on Ticketmaster before 10 to get Ariana Grande tickets and got put in a queue for 10 minutes just to be told they are all sold out. WTF so annoyed," one person wrote.

A father who was hoping to buy concert tickets for his 14-year-old daughter told The Scottish Sun the show sold out within moments.

"I was at the computer and they went on sale at 9:59 am. I instantly clicked to buy the best tickets available but, between one and two seconds of it going live, I was given a holding message telling me not to refresh or I would leave the queue," the man said.

"By 10.02am it said there were no tickets available."

Some fans are now urging Grande to add another Scottish date to her Sweetener World Tour so that they get a chance to see her perform.

The singer's next concert following her Glasgow gig is currently scheduled for 19 September in Sheffield.
