Ariana Grande And Ricky Alvarez Are Officially Back On, Proving Arianators Are Never Wrong

Ariana Grande has quietly slid back into a relationship with her ex Ricky Alvarez, and this time it’s not just fan theory.

PEOPLE and TMZ are both reporting that the pair have rekindled things after weeks of very obvious soft‑launching on tour.

At her Brooklyn Eternal Sunshine show, Ariana changed the “Thank U, Next” lyric about Ricky from “Now I listen and laugh” to “We always find our way back”, and the crowd instantly clocked it as a romantic upgrade, not just a cute ad‑lib.

She’s been tweaking that line across different dates, including versions like “I know he still got my back”, while Ricky’s been spotted in the audience and hanging out around the tour.

And can I just say, never doubt a fan, because the Arianators BEEN knowing about this and were convinced something was going on long before TMZ and PEOPLE confirmed things.

A source told PEOPLE that Ariana and Ricky are “taking things very slowly”, and that “they’re not jumping into anything serious right away, but Ari is happy to have him back in her life”.

The same insider said “Ariana has always considered Ricky a friend”, and that she hasn’t held “ill will against him” since their 2016 split.

They described him as “dependable, trustworthy and very supportive”, and said Ariana feels she can be herself around him, which sounds less like messy rebound energy and more like someone going back to a safe person who actually knows her.

The pair originally dated from 2015 to 2016, when he was one of her backup dancers, and they’ve stayed on good terms ever since. In the past month, they’ve been seen spending time together in Texas and then at a Fourth of July celebration with her family in Florida, which is a pretty solid sign you’re not just catching up as friends me thinks.

TMZ reports that, yes, they are officially back together, but again, the vibe is slow and steady rather than full blast PDA.

This all comes after it was revealed in June that Ariana and her Wicked co‑star Ethan Slater had quietly broken up “several months ago”.

A source told US Weekly that the split was “amicable” and that they “gave lots of time and careful consideration and decided to go their separate ways”, adding that they’re “still friends and very supportive of one another”.

Another insider said her relationship with Ethan is “100 percent over” and that she’s focusing on tour and “spending time with the people who have always been there for her”, which I guess now very much includes Ricky.
