Argyle Street Finnieston attack: man rushed to hospital with serious injuries

A man is in hospital after being attacked outside Tesco in Finnieston.

Police were called to the scene on Argyle Street shortly after 7pm last night.

The 53-year-old, who sustained serious injuries, is at Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is described as being in a stable condition.

Police have launched an investigation following the attack.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: "A 53-year-old was attacked and seriously injured on Argyle Street.

"We were called at around 7.05pm. He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he's in a stable condition.

"Enquiries are continuing."
