Argos urgently recalls three children's highchairs over safety fears

Argos is urgently recalling three chidren's highchairs over fears they may not be safe.

The retailer is recalling three types of Cuggl highchairs. The warning has been issued as there are concerns youngsters could fall from the chairs and hurt themselves, reports Wales Online.

A spokesman for the company said: "Testing has shown in some cases the back of the highchair could fail, resulting in a child falling from the highchair."

The affected products are the:

  • Cuggl Little Sheep Deluxe Highchair, catalogue number 819/5584
  • Cuggl Plum Deluxe Highchair, catalogue number 759/3187
  • Cuggl Pumpkin Deluxe Highchair, catalogue number 707/8956

The Argos recall reads: " STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY and return it to an Argos store for a full refund of £39.99" [Argo's emphasis].

It added that you will not need a receipt when you go to return the item.

"The safety of our customers is our highest priority, please be assured that no other highchair is affected by this issue," said Argos. "We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this issue."

If parents have any questions or concerns, the store said they could contact it by phone on:
