Catalogue retailer Argos has lifted the lid on the unusual products its customers search for on its website.
Despite its website being filled with thousands of products such as furniture, electrical goods, garden supplies and a host of toys, it seems its customers often want something a little different.
Human carwashes, dog vacuums and wind-blowing selfie sticks are among the search terms.
And, while gloves you can wear while using your phone already exist, it looks like some shoppers want more - searching for gloves which charge their phone.
Argos also revealed that in the past year alone, more than 100 people have searched for a cat or dog vacuum cleaner on its site.
An Argos spokesperson said: “From Tim Berners-Lee to James Dyson, Britain is renowned for its inventors and their crazy ideas that go on to become essential parts of our everyday lives.
“Search data from Argos.co.uk shows that people across the country wish their toasters could launch their toast sideways, or that their pets could roller-skate, proving there is a gap in the market for offbeat products with unusual forms and functions.”
Five of Argos customers wanted to buy roller-skates for their pets.

- Drip-catching bowl that catches all food slips and ensures not a crumb of food goes to waste while keeping crockery and tables splash free.
- Stairs slides
- Pet Vacuum Cleaner
- Dog Roller-skates
- Sideways-launching Toaster
