Argos may be closed - but you can still shop online for delivery or collect from Sainsbury's

Argos may have closed its standalone stores across the UK but you can still shop online and pick up from Sainsbury's supermarkets.

The catalogue store's website is still up and running and taking orders. Customers can order some items for home delivery, but not all. Products which can not be home delivered can be paid for online and picked up from Sainsbury's supermarkets which have in house Argos counters.

They include Sainsbury's in Heaton, Gosforth, and Northumberland Park in Newcastle, as well as Sainsbury's in Team Valley, Monkseaton, South Shields and Washington.

Argos says: "We would strongly encourage you to order items for home delivery, and to only collect whilst doing your essential food shopping at Sainsbury’s.

"Please note, for the safety of our customers and colleagues, we are limiting the number of customers in our stores. You therefore may need to queue before entering Sainsbury’s to collect your Argos order."

Only items ordered in advance online can be collected from Sainsbury's.

Argos has suspended its installation services. Argos can not accept any returns at the moment, but any purchase made from March 1 can be returned up to 30 days after Argos reopens.
