Christmas is the perfect excuse to go overboard with the festive decorations - hanging garlands, Christmas stockings and lots of fairy lights.

To stop the cats from climbing the branches and kids from pulling on the decorations, Argos are selling half Christmas trees, that feature only the top half of the tree.
They come in two colours including the traditional green for £30 and a snow-dusted one for £33.75.
They are 6ft with first branches starting around 3ft and come with a square stand so you can still have a Christmas tree with out the hassle of keeping your children and pets away.
There is more room for your haul of Christmas presents underneath too.
As well as a half Christmas tree you can also buy a 6ft one for £18.75 which is split down the middle vertically so it will easily stand up against a wall.
There's also a 3ft version which comes pre-lit in a basket base for £36 reduced from £40 .
