Argos and EE issue PS5 restock updates to shoppers

Despite the Playstation 5 console being officially released in the UK last month, many shoppers are still struggling to get their hands on one.

Since the PS5 was released, it sold out within minutes on several occasions - with retailers like GAME, Argos, Currys, John Lewis and Smyths all trying to keep up with demand.

Now Argos and EE have issued updates on when shoppers can expect new stock.

A page  on the store's website  says: "Sorry, PlayStation®5 is currently unavailable.

"We will not have any further stock for the rest of 2020".

This comes after a number of retailers dropped new stock last week including GAME and Argos with them selling out in minutes and massive online queues.

GAME queues were more than an hour due to the demand but by the time people got online, the stock had dried up.

However, other retailers could drop more stock online this week or next week according to online sources. Some stores have yet to drop another wave of PS5s meaning they could come next week.

@DualSensor posted on Twitter: "Potential restock for all major retailers next week!"

However this is speculation and doesn't mean that it will come next week, reports Birmingham Live.

Last week, EE did confirm that it would have more stock on December 15 so if you are an EE customer, you may have a chance at grabbing a console next week.
