Areas in Bristol with hardly any Covid cases

The number of Bristol areas with hardly any covid cases is continuing to rise, the latest government data shows.

A total of 24 areas in the city recorded fewer than three covid cases in recent days, which is a 20 per cent increase in the space of two days and compared to 13 areas six days ago.

The news comes as an area in Bristol now has one of the country's worst covid rates.

Last week, data showed covid infections are falling by up to 10 per cent every day in the South West - faster than any other region in England.

Below are the neighbourhoods which recorded fewer than three coronavirus cases in the seven days to March 9, and therefore had its data suppressed.

They now include Bishopsworth which had one of the worst Coronavirus rates in the country back in November.

Where is the data coming from?

You can see the latest national data on the government's website.

The map displays weekly data, which are updated everyday.

The data can be viewed by local authority but also by smaller sections called 'Middle Super Output Areas'.

The map highlights which areas of the nation have three or more confirmed cases of the virus and colour co-coordinates the areas by how many cases they have.
