Three people have been arrested after an alleged assault in Windsor Road in Neath in which the victim was hit with a glass bottle.
An area of the town was taped off last night and in the early hours of the morning following the incident.
A tweet from police in Neath said the victim had received a serious cut to the head but was expected to make a full recovery.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "Police in Neath responded to reports of an assault on Windsor Road at approximately 11.30pm yesterday (Sunday, April 7).
"A man sustained head injuries during the incident.
"A 33-year-old man and two sixteen-year-old boys have since been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. All are currently in custody."
