The Covid-19 infection rate has increased in one part of the Liverpool City Region.
According to the latest data from Public Health England , Halton has seen an increase of 5% in the week on week percentage change.
In Halton, the rate per 100,000 people is 59.5 for the week ending March 14. There were 77 cases in the last week, which is four more cases than the previous week.
It is the first time in roughly two months that the rate has increased in Halton.
The rates are dropping in the rest of the Liverpool City Region, with the rates falling fastest in Knowsley.
