Area breakdown of new Nottinghamshire coronavirus cases as hundreds confirmed

A further 545 new coronavirus cases have been reported across Nottinghamshire including Nottingham in the last 24 hours.

The Government said that, as of 9am on October 10, there had been a further 15,166 lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK. It brings the total number of cases in the UK to 590,844.

The Government also said a further 81 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Saturday.

This brings the UK total deaths to 42,760.

Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies show there have now been 58,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.

Nottingham has seen a further 362 cases in a 24 hour period.

Nottingham is currently in the national spotlight after data revealed the city has seen the highest weekly rate of new Covid-19 cases in England.

Nottingham’s weekly rate of new Covid-19 cases has now topped 750 cases per 100,000 people, separate new data shows.

A total of 2,532 new cases were recorded in Nottingham in the seven days to October 6 – the equivalent of 760.6 cases per 100,000 people.

Here is the breakdown for each local authority area across Nottinghamshire, recorded on the Government's October 10:

  • Ashfield - 965 ( increase of 23  )
  • Bassetlaw - 894 ( increase of 12 )
  • Broxtowe - 1,051 ( increase of 37 )
  • Gedling - 819 ( increase of 35 )
  • Mansfield - 635 ( increase of 5 )
  • Newark and Sherwood - 959 ( increase of 29 )
  • Nottingham - 5,305 ( increase of 362 )
  • Rushcliffe - 984 ( increase of 42 )

The number of deaths in Nottinghamshire hospital trusts is as follows. Listed changes are on the position as of October 10:

  • Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust ( Queen's Medical Centre and City Hospital) - 279 (no change)
  • Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust - 14 (no change)
  • Ramsay Health UK - Nottingham Woodthorpe - 1 (no change)
  • Sherwood Forest Hospitals (Newark Hospital, King's Mill Hospital and Mansfield Community Hospital) - 125 (no change)

Separate figures show there were 3,225 Covid-19 patients in hospital in England as of Saturday, up from 2,194 a week ago, while 396 Covid-19 hospital patients were in ventilation beds, up from 307 a week ago.

A total of 513 patients with confirmed Covid-19 were admitted to hospitals in England on Thursday, compared with 386 a week earlier.
