Donald Trump is president-elect, but after a controversial campaign, where he offended communities including women, Mexicans and Muslims, many are worried about what to expect.

Trump has already made troubling statements about LGBT rights. In an interview with Fox News in January 2016, Trump said he would “strongly consider” appointing judges to overturn the Marriage Equality Act.

Women’s reproductive rights could be under threat too. Trump has expressed strong opposition to abortion, except in cases of rape, incest, and when the mother’s health is endangered. With a conservative majority on the Supreme Court, Trump’s presidency could mean the beginning of the end for Roe v Wade, a landmark decision on the issue of abortion.

Civil rights may also be at risk. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has urged Trump to uphold civil and human rights by walking back campaign promises like a ban on Muslims and his support for waterboarding,
