'Are you serious?' What Newcastle United fans are saying about fresh Bellagraph Nova Group claims

Newcastle United fans have been reacting to fresh claims about a potential takeover of the club.

The Bellagraph Nova Group say they met with Mike Ashley's representative in Paris last week.

The group made headlines in September with talk of a £280million offer for United, which was not taken seriously by Ashley's selling team.

One of the group's co-founders, Evangeline Shen, who wants to front a bid to buy the club, told the BBC: "Bidding for Newcastle is part of our strategy because it's a well-known football club but still has room to improve, and we believe that improvement is good for the club as well as for our brand.

"We started real planning for the club such as whom to hire as trainer and whom to sign for players."

Ashley is still holding out for an asking price close to £340million.

Here's what some Newcastle fans have been saying on Twitter about the latest claims...

@MontyMagic69: Tweets like this used to change my day, refreshing Twitter every 5 mins, talking about it on WA with mates.... Now read headline shake head and scroll on. #NUFC when will it end?

@AdrianC76282449: For the 311th time in 8 years.

@stevenw38454798: Change the record man.

@stublem1892: This should fill up the last few days of the transfer window.

@JonJons13350525: Are you serious?

@BarryJIngham1: I trust Dentons & Mike Ashley on this one.

@blackwhite4life: I'd rather be a Sunderland fan than have Bellanova buy our club.

@MagPieMagic78: Comical #nufc
