Are you having a DIY drama? New show is looking for people from Edinburgh to help

Producers behind a new TV show on Channel 4 are looking for people from Edinburgh to appear from home on webcam.

The four-part DIY and home-craft series from Dick and Angel Strawbridge has been commissioned as part of Channel 4's commitment to helping people navigate the coronavirus pandemic.

The production company are looking for locals who might want some tips to solve their DIY and design dilemmas.

(Handout)

Over the last four years, Channel 4 viewers have seen Dick & Angel turn their dream of owning a chateau in France into a reality, using their own handiwork and design skills to make their property a one-of-a-kind home.

The couple will be helping people on air from their home in France over webcam.

Dick and Angel Strawbridge said: “It’s humbling that our audience wants to see more of us and our adventures. Between the pair of us we have nearly a century’s worth of 'make do and mend' experience and so we are really excited to be making this brand-new series."

"Capturing our life at the Chateau has grown out of a fantastic creative relationship with Lizi Wootton, who we have worked with for over four years. It’s fantastic to be partnering with such an experienced and dynamic team.”

To appear, email the production team at makedoandmend@dickandangel.co.uk for an application form.
