Summernats 34 is heating up. Are you getting your "V8ccine"?

Co-owner Andy Lopez says car entries have almost run out, with more than 2000 received so far for the return of the event at Exhibition Park in Canberra from January 6 to 9.

Spectator tickets - for day and season passes - are also on sale at summernats.oztix.com.au/

And Melbourne artist Damon Greulich has come up with a ripper design for Summernats 34, referencing COVID and showing Summernats as the "vaccination for negativity", Lopez says.

Or make that "V8ccine".

"It's an optimistic artwork," Lopez said.

"We see our event as a way forward to positivity and hope."

Canberra motor enthusiasts have been gone a year without Summernats.

Summernats did not go ahead this year due to COVID concerns, the first time it had been cancelled in 33 years.

For the return of the car festival in 2022, Greulich's artwork will feature on Summernats 34 merchandise, including t-shirts.
