Are you cleverer than a 15-year-old? Take the GCSE quiz

As thousands of high school students prepare to step into the GCSE exam hall this week, there’s no time more stressful for teenagers and their parents in the entire school calendar.

According to children’s charity Childline, more students than ever are seeking counselling as a result of exam stress, with more than 3,000 support sessions hosted by the charity in the past year.

GCSE candidates face even more pressure this year, as they become the first group to sit the exams under a new numerical grading system.

The new 9-1 system replaces the traditional A*-U grades in some subjects, and children are taught to aim for a 4 or higher instead of the previous pass mark of a C.

But how many questions do you think you’d pass if you were taking your GCSE exams now?

Take our quiz below to see if you are as clever as a 15 or 16-year old.
