Jack White has smashed the US record for the most one-week vinyl sales since records began, with 40,000 fans snapping up his new album, Lazaretto.

With Record Store Day apparently in rude health – last year's event was the most successful ever, shifting £2m worth of albums – the market for vinyl is in surprisingly robust health. There are aficionados who have been collecting for decades (such as record-lover Pete Paphides), but also a number of millennials who prefer the format over more ephemeral options.

We'd love you to show us pictures of your vinyl collection. How do you order and display your records? Are they kept pristine? Or are they worn from repeated use? Share your collections with us via GuardianWitness, and we'll publish a selection on theguardian.com/music.
