Are WWE already setting up huge showdown for WrestleMania 36 in 2020?

It is still over a week until WrestleMania 35 and not everything has been confirmed yet - but rumours about the line up for WrestleMania 36 are already circulating.

John Cena and The Undertaker are expected to be at this year's showpiece at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey next Sunday, but haven't yet had their battles revealed.

There is one fight that has been decided and is being hyped by fans.

Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are all ready to go up against each other in a Triple threat match for the WWE Raw Women's Championship - which is the main event of the night.

And according to the  Wrestling Observer Newsletter, whoever wins the fight will be give a clear direction for the 2020 event - which will take place in Tampa Bay, Florida.

It is unknown whether that means Rousey vs Lynch, or if WWE will try to set up Flair vs Lynch.

Another triple threat between the trio would echo the recent John Cena vs The Rock bouts that back-to-back main evented WrestleMania 28 and 29.

A lot could depend on former UFC superstar Rousey's future in the sport.

Rousey is the defending champion on the highly anticipated battle at WrestleMania 35 but has hinted at taking time out to start a family and has also recently hit out at WWE.

Rousey has been a crucial part of the push for female performers to be at the forefront of the huge company since joining WWE a year ago.

She revealed she always had the goal of headlining WrestleMania in mind when she entered the ring - and she's hailed the way WWE has mirrored the "women's evolution" in the wider world.

"On one hand, I was already expecting it, and on another hand, I was just really happy that it was finally certain," Rousey told  SportsCenter  as she appeared alongside Lynch and Flair.

"It seemed like an abstract goal somewhere far in the future. I came into WWE just a year ago and my goal from the very beginning was that I wanted to be a part of the first women's main event for WrestleMania.

"It is incredible the amount of momentum that we've been able to generate within just a year. Look at last year's WrestleMania compared to now.

"What I think is happening in WWE is really a parallel for everything that is happening culturally around the world.

"The WWE product just copies everything else that is happening for the women's evolution and revolution from every industry out there.

"I really think that this is one of those mediums where you can affect real social change and how women view themselves.

"This is the same company that had Bra and Panty matches that are now raising the women to the highest pinnacle that they have in the industry."
