It has been another turbulent summer for Newcastle United, with dreams of a takeover being washed away and frustrations with key departures, most of all that of Rafael Benitez.
The Magpies have responded by being active in the transfer market though, smashing their transfer record for the second time in 2019 and starting to assemble a squad which could be efficient.
All eyes are now cast towards this weekend's Premier League kick-off, where Newcastle welcome Europa League finalists Arsenal to St. James' Park.

However, while some were unhappy, others believe there was nothing wrong with the Scotland international's comments, with both sides of the debate taking to social media to share their thoughts.
