Are Wall Street Analysts Bullish on Corteva Stock?

With a market cap of $51.3 billion, Corteva, Inc. (CTVA) is a global pure-play agriculture company providing innovative seed, crop protection, and digital solutions to address the world’s most pressing agricultural challenges. Through its strong brands, advanced technology pipeline, and customer-focused approach, the company helps farmers maximize productivity while supporting sustainable progress across the food system.

Shares of the agriscience company have underperformed the broader market over the past 52 weeks. CTVA stock has risen 8.6% over this time frame, while the broader S&P 500 Index ($SPX) has gained 22.4%. However, the stock has increased 14.9% on a YTD basis, outpacing SPX's 13.3% return.

Looking closer, shares of the Indianapolis, Indiana-based company have lagged behind the State Street Materials Select Sector SPDR ETF's (XLB) 19.6% surge over the past 52 weeks.

Corteva’s shares dropped 11.9% following its Q2 2026 results on Jul. 30 as revenue of $6.38 billion missed analysts’ estimate, Seeds sales were flat at $4.53 billion, and Crop Protection sales declined 4% to $1.85 billion. Investors were also concerned that the shift from corn to soybeans could reduce demand for chemical-intensive crop-protection products in Q3, and high fertilizer and fuel costs continue to pressure farmers’ spending and margins.

Although the company raised its fiscal 2026 adjusted EPS outlook to $3.60 - $3.80 and expects operating EBITDA of $4.1 billion - $4.3 billion, the revenue miss and weaker near-term volume/margin outlook outweighed the improved profit guidance.

For the fiscal year ending in December 2026, analysts expect CTVA's adjusted operating EPS to grow 11.4% year-over-year to $3.72. The company's earnings surprise history is promising. It beat the consensus estimates in each of the last four quarters.

Among the 20 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is a “Moderate Buy.” That’s based on 12 “Strong Buy” ratings, two “Moderate Buys,” and six “Holds.”

This configuration has remained unchanged over the past three months.

On Aug. 3, JPMorgan raised its price target on Corteva to $83 while maintaining a “Neutral” rating on the shares.

The mean price target of $92.65 represents a 20.6% premium to CTVA’s current price levels. The Street-high price target of $103 suggests a 34.1% potential upside.
