The Turkish government says it has regained control of the country and the army, after Friday's failed coup. But its effects are still being felt in the region and beyond.
Turkey is a long time ally of the United Sates and an important member of NATO. And the impact of the attempted coup was felt almost immediately by the US military.
When Turkey cancelled its air operations at the Incirlik air base. It's located just over 100 kilometres from the Syrian border. And is used by US forces to launch air strikes against ISIL in Syria.
Those flights resumed by Sunday. But the attempted coup has raised bigger questions about the security of that base - which the US uses to keep some of its nuclear arsenal.
So, should Turkey's allies and NATO be worried?
