Are the Boston Celtics in postseason trouble after Robert Williams III’s injury?

The Boston Celtics got about as good of news as anyone could hope for concerning the news of the injury of Robert Williams III’s torn meniscus surgery and its recovery time, with the Louisiana native looking likely to come back in four to six weeks when it was not clear that Timelord would even be back on the court this season.

The Celtics will need to stay alive in the 2022 NBA Playoffs long enough to return, and the team (or teams) they draw to play before he is ready to go may be as important to Boston sticking around to make a deep run as whether Williams even gets back on the court now.

Are the Celtics in postseason trouble? The hosts of The Ringer “Mismatch” podcast Kevin O’Connor and Chris Vernon recently dove deep into the potential Timelord return and how Boston might fare without him.

Check out the clip embedded above to hear their perspectives on the team’s situation with Timelord.
