Are the BBC schedulers having a laugh?

A last-gasp bid for worst scheduling move of the year award? Last night the Beeb had a QI repeat on BBC1 (10pm), a festive-themed appetiser for its first main channel run after much success on BBC2. BBC1 even shunted the Ten O'Clock News off to 10.30, putting QI directly opposite the much-hyped one-off revival of Shooting Stars (10pm) on BBC2, which is also, rather noticeably, an offbeat quiz with comics galore and zany answers and scoring. Let's hope that the scheduler of BBC1 still makes the scheduler of BBC2's Christmas card list next year.
