Are Redskins players recruiting Amari Cooper?

It’s something of a running joke the Washington Redskins are simply assembling an Alabama Crimson Tide pro team.

Could Amari Cooper be next to join?

The former Alabama wideout has been a star with the Dallas Cowboys for a few years now but it currently set to be one of NFL free agency’s hottest items.

And according to ESPN’s John Keim, some of the Alabama connections in Washington have at least reached out to Cooper.

This is obviously a dream scenario — there’s little reason to believe Jerry Jones lets his star wideout who uplifted Dak Prescott get away. But Cooper is only 25 and one of the league’s best receivers, so it’s not hard to see why Redskins fans might find this nugget interesting.

Also keep in mind the Redskins somewhat came out of left field and spent huge on Landon Collins, another NFC East star who might’ve been considered off-limits.

Just something to keep in mind as free agency approaches.
