Are Motherwell teasing signing with Chris Long image on billboard in town?

Motherwell have sparked speculation by placing an image of striker Chris Long on an electronic billboard saying 'Welcome to Motherwell'.

The 25-year-old wasn't part of a squad that Motherwell issued earlier this summer, so this new move will spark speculation that he might be returning.

Long quickly became a fans' favourite after joining from Blackpool, scoring 11 goals in all competitions last season, though he was also sent off in a 0-0 Lanarkshire derby at Hamilton back in February.

Fans will be hoping that the cryptic billboard, placed on the town's Airbles Road, next to the Electric Bar and on an approach to Fir Park, means he's returning.

Does it mean 'Welcome to Motherwell' for supporters or people driving up Airbles Road, or is it 'Welcome to Motherwell, Chris Long'?
