Christmas is usually about a huge turkey and all the trimmings that you're still finding yourself eating days later.
And let's not forgot the countless boxes of chocolate, cheese boards and all those other festive treats.
But there's a bit of a problem if you're not a dab hand in the kitchen, or just not a fan of the traditional Christmas dinner.
If that's you, you may be wanting to just settle down with a takeaway from your favourite fast food chain.
But here is another problem, are they actually open?
McDonald's
The good news is yes but the bad news is only a handful of McDonald's restaurants are open on Christmas Day.
The fast-food giant is also set to open some restaurants late and close early on other across the festive season including Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and New Year's Eve.
So to find out if that is your local, or at least one close by, Macccies is telling customers to check its restaurant locator to confirm if your local restaurant is open during the Christmas period and what times they are trading.
McDonald's UK chief executive, Paul Pomroy, said earlier this month: "I know many of you will be looking forward to visiting one of our restaurants over the festive season to enjoy your McDonald’s favourites.
"Given the extraordinary year we've all had, we will balance being there for you when you need us with giving our people some additional time off with their loved ones.
"This means that some of our restaurants may close a little earlier on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, and open a little later on Boxing Day."
KFC
If you're hoping for chicken over turkey, then KFC may be for you.
But it is not yet clear if the fast food chain will be open.
A note on their website reads: "Oh we wish it could be Christmas every day. This Christmas might be a little different, as our restaurants will open in line with local government restrictions, which may vary by location.
"We hope to be open, but we can’t say for sure right now. Make sure to check with your local KFC for updates near you."
