Are JD Vance, Marco Rubio Undermining Donald Trump? POTUS Slams 'Total Scum' Mental Health Claims

A storm is brewing behind the gilded doors of the White House. Whispers of betrayal and jockeying for position have begun circulating among senior administration officials, with suggestions that Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are positioning themselves as potential successors should the president's grip on power weaken. What started as faint rumours about the president's mental acuity has evolved into something far more sinister, according to insiders — a covert campaign of sabotage orchestrated by those closest to Donald Trump.

The tensions have reached a critical point, with Trump himself apparently ordering a full investigation into potential leakers. Sources suggest the president believes he knows exactly where to look first.

Trump's Mental Fitness Under Scrutiny During Switzerland Summit

Concerns regarding Trump's mental fitness have intensified following recent events at the World Economic Forum in Davos. The 79-year-old president drew fresh scrutiny when he repeatedly mistook Greenland for Iceland during an address to world leaders, a slip that set political observers on high alert.

More recently, during a high-level meeting with global oil executives following the capture of Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro, Trump embarked on an impromptu monologue about renovation work to the White House ballroom while overlooking the construction site through a window — a moment that allegedly prompted Vice President Vance and Secretary Rubio to exchange knowing glances.

'The people around him are taking advantage of the mental vacancy between his ears and pushing forward their extreme agendas faster than ever,' declared foreign policy analyst and commentator David Rothkopf in a recent assessment. Such observations have only fuelled speculation that ambitious figures within the administration are preparing for Trump's potential downfall.

The Dangerous Game of Political Manoeuvring

One political insider, speaking on condition of anonymity, warned that those peddling damaging narratives about the president should exercise caution. 'Whoever is peddling these vicious lies better watch themselves and hope that Trump doesn't figure it out, because there will be one heck of a reckoning when he does,' the source confided. The insider described the behind-the-scenes backstabbing as a 'dangerous game', emphasising the extraordinarily high stakes for both Trump and the nation at large.

'The stakes are so high for both Trump and the country, not to mention the rat, whoever they may be,' added the source. Trump's allies dismiss the leaks as little more than sour grapes from power-hungry wannabes seeking attention, insisting they represent a 'total scum' plot designed to undermine a president who maintains an iron grip on the nation's reins during his second term.

A Question of Succession and Ambition

Political analysts suggest the backstage manoeuvring ultimately boils down to calculation. 'It really comes down to the line of succession and who has the most to gain by undermining Donald, especially if Republicans lose Congress in the midterm elections,' the source explained. Such a scenario would invite repeated impeachment proceedings and force a reckoning over who leads the Republican Party in 2028.

Vance, as the sitting vice president, arguably stands to benefit most from any power vacuum. However, the insider noted that Secretary Rubio, Attorney General Pam Bondi, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth are all harbouring substantial ambitions of their own. Even Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt possesses the kind of behind-the-scenes access and influence that could prove catastrophic to her boss. 'It's hard to imagine any of them betraying Donald,' the insider reflected. 'But anything is possible.'

Trump's Loyalists Defend the Administration

Not everyone within Trump's orbit has abandoned ship. White House spokesman Davis Ingle vigorously refuted allegations of internal discord, declaring that the administration remains unified under a president he described as transformational. 'Under President Trump's historic leadership, the United States of America is the hottest country in the world right now,' Ingle stated.

'There is no daylight between President Trump and the excellent team of patriots he's assembled.' Ingle dismissed anonymous allegations as coming from those suffering from 'Trump Derangement Syndrome', characterising them as uninformed and driven by political animus rather than fact.
