Are exam results this year fair? Give your verdict on the system

Exam results day is always a stressful one, but this year's is like no other.

The coronavirus lockdown meant students were unable to sit their A-Levels or GCSEs. Instead, their grades have been decided based on predicted grades and standardised by a computer model.

Students unhappy with their results will be allowed to use their mock results to mount an appeal - a last minute change which was not discussed with universities.

The proportion of A-Level students getting an A or A* rose from 25.2% to 27.6% - but 39% of grades were lowered from teachers' original submissions. And data suggests poorer students have been hit hardest by the changes.

We are asking readers what they think of the way the situation has been handled. Do you think students have been hard done by? Or is it the best that could be done in an impossible situation? Let us know by filling out the survey below.

If you can't see the survey above, click here to fill it out. You can tell us even more of your thoughts by having your say in our comments section.
