Stevie Wilson has left his position as Ardrossan Winton Rovers manager by mutual consent.
Wilson, who celebrates his 41st birthday today, confirmed his departure to Ayrshire Football News this evening.
His assistant Neil Greenwood is expected to follow suit.
Wilson's last game in charge – after three-and-half years in the hot seat – was Saturday's 5-0 West of Scotland League Cup defeat against Arthurlie.
He said: "I had a good chat with the chairman Pat Breen and we both felt it was the right decision to move on.
"I'm gutted to be leaving but I'm looking forward to spending some time with my family over Christmas and getting ready to get back into the game next year.
"I want to thank the players and my management team for their hard work and wish to say how proud I am of them.
"Thanks, too, to the supporters who have been excellent with me during my time here as manager. I've made friends for life.
"There are a lot of great people behind the scenes who have supported me from day one too.
"Pat Breen was a dream to work with and couldn't have done more for me.
"Guys like Eddie McIntosh, who is a great friend of mine, and has never let me down.
"Peter Conway, the kit man, who has been my right-hand arm at the club and as far as I'm concerned is a total legend.
"The likes of Eddie Gibb and Andy Fullarton who have worked their butts off in the youth system.
"People like my physio Aylee McGill, Willie Clarke, Neil Carnegie, Donna Cullinane and Liz Conway and the maintenance boys who all do so much work for the club.
"Lastly, I want to thank my wife Michelle, my wee boy Stephen, brother David, mum Liz and dad David Snr for all their support."
