Ardoyne shooting sees man dragged into house and shot in leg

A man was dragged into a house and shot in the leg by masked men at a house in North Belfast on Saturday night.

Police are investigating the incident at Ardglen Place in Ardoyne which happened at around 10.40pm.

The man was shot once in the thigh was taken to hospital as police remained on the scene.

SDLP Councillor Paul McCusker told Belfast Live: "I was made aware of a shooting incident in Ardoyne tonight of a male who has been taking to hospital for treatment.

 

"There is no place for guns on our streets and I am waiting on an update from police on what has happened here."

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
