ArdBone cross community festival ends tonight with free Big Drive in Movie event

A North Belfast community festival is to wrap up its "very different" 2020 event with a drive-in movie for the local foodbank.

Families can watch A Star is Born from the safety of their own cars tonight at Holy Cross Boys Pitch.

And every single £5 donation towards the cross community event will go to North Belfast Food Bank to help those who need support in the area.

The annual good relations festival aims to bring Ardoyne and Marrowbone and their surrounding communities together while focusing on the health and wellbeing of families.

A spokesperson told Belfast Live: "ArdBone Festival comes to an end tonight with a Big Drive in Movie event on Holy Cross Boys Pitch.

"It's free but we are asking for £5 per car donation towards North Belfast Food Bank."

The gates at Holycross Boys open at 7.45pm and everyone is welcome.

"So get the car, popcorn and juice ready," they added.

With the Coronavirus pandemic continuing, organisers said they had to adapt their programme this year - but were still able to offer events like Drive In Bingo, the ArdBone Bake Off and TicToks.

Tonight's movie starts at 8.30pm.
