Arctic Monkeys release new song 'Anyways' – listen here

Zackery Michael

Arctic Monkeys have released a brand new song – and you can listen to it below.

The track, titled “Anyways,” has been unveiled as a B-side of the Sheffield quartet’s new 7" press of “Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino” which is taken from their sixth record of the same name. It was released earlier this year ahead of a string of festival dates and a world tour which will take them to Latin America in 2019.

“Just another microcosm somewhere in the ether, putting a world to rights with Bing Crosby eyes,” Alex Turner sings on the new track.

Upon its release in May, Tranquility Base swiftly became the fastest-selling vinyl LP of the past 25 years despite initially dividing listeners. Since then, its harshest critics have warmed to the record, with many embracing the new sound and space-themed lyrics featured throughout. The Independent described it as “one giant leap” for the band.

It also saw them clock their sixth consecutive number one album, outselling the remainder of the top 20 combined.

During select shows earlier this summer, artwork of the band could be seen as part of the AM:ZM exhibition, curated by photographer Zackery Michael.

Listen to “Anyways” below.

The band’s previous albums include Whatever People Say I Am That’s What I’m Not, Humbug and 2013’s AM which launched the UK rockers in the States.
