Archive Pieces & Secret Runways: What Went Down At The Espolòn Tequila & Second Life Markets
Sydney’s Machine Hall was transformed last week, with the Espolòn Tequila & Second Life Markets’ partnership kicking off with an absolute bang.
The PTV team was on the ground for the events, which brought together creatives, fashion lovers, and industry trailblazers under the one roof. Yep, it was that iconic.
Here’s everything you missed at the inaugural Espolòn Tequila & Second Life Markets Supper Club, and the subsequent Archive Sale.
Espolòn Tequila & Second Life Markets Supper Club
60 of Sydney’s most fashion-forward connoisseurs attended the Supper Club at Machine Hall on May 8, brought together by creativity, originality, and of course, the most extravagant Tequila twisted cocktails that Espolòn has to offer.
The drinks menu was curated to have something for everyone, whether you’re a sweet tooth or a savoury lover. The standout was the Espolòn Añejo Old Fashioned, made with dates, chocolate bitters, and the most delectable toasted marshmallow perched on top.
This wasn’t your average dinner party, though, with the event quickly transforming from dinner party to runway(!!).
Models strutted the dinner table-turned-runway with looks curated by some of the finest sellers that Second Life Markets (a vintage and second-hand clothing market) has in tow. The vintage Prada was to die for.
The event was a true cultivation of originality and unapologetic self-expression, blending together unique flavours with drop dead gorgeous ‘fits.
You’ll have to see it for yourself to believe it. Check out the video here.
Espolòn Tequila & Second Life Markets Archive Sale
Fans of the runway looks at Espolòn’s Supper Club were in luck — each piece was available to purchase at the Espolòn Original Archive Pop-Up, held at the Second Life Markets event on May 10 & 11.
The crowd was filled with fashion lovers and vintage fiends alike, with labels like Prada, COMME des GARÇONS, and Balenciaga up for grabs.
Each piece at the Espolòn Original Archive Pop-Up was accompanied with a unique story penned by its owner, distinguishing each item and giving it a piece of its own history to hold.
Our personal favourite was the flared pants worn by Foxy Brown himself in Sisqó’s “Thong Song” music video. It doesn’t get more iconic than that.
Plus, anyone who purchased a piece from the pop-up was given a complimentary freshly-shaken Espolon cocktail.
Bar access across the weekend meant that friends and fashion lovers alike could enjoy a bev whilst exchanging stories and generally having a damn good time.
Take a peek for yourself.
This week was just the beginning, as many other pop-ups, markets, and events are set to come through the Espolòn Tequila & Second Life Markets partnership.
Across this month and the next, Espolòn is also launching a new event series called The Reverse Cloakroom. If you thought the cloakroom was the smallest part of your night, think again.
The Espolòn Reverse Cloakroom is transforming what you thought you knew about nightlife. Think Boiler Room-style DJ sets paired with art installations, Espolòn Tequila cocktail classics, and of course, Second Life Market vintage pieces up for grabs.
