Archie's burgers reveal huge Manchester Airport diner

Manchester's independent burger restaurant Archie's has unveiled its vast new Manchester Airport diner that is set to open to visitors this July.

The pink and white burger joint has won an army of fans since first opening on Manchester's Oxford Road back in 2010 - and now boasts 10 locations across the UK.

The airport venue is seen as a jewel in the crown to Archie's owners, the Rafiq brothers, as it shows Archie's representing Manchester to a global market at the airport's new 'super terminal'.

It will feature the venue's full menu of star burgers, loaded fries, signature celeb milkshakes, as well as a full range of breakfast burgers for early morning travellers.

The venue has been styled in Archie's classic retro pink and whites with their signature neon slogans including "Wake me up when I'm famous" and "Feed me burgers and tell me I'm pretty".

Airport bosses have spent nearly £1bn doubling the size of terminal 2 ready for launch this summer, with Archie's among a raft of new food and drink operators signed to the site, including San Carlo and Salford brewery Seven Brothers.

Revealing the new Archie's interiors on their official Instagram accounts, the Longsight -raised Rafiq brothers Amer, Imran, Asim and Irfan spoke of their delight at the latest investment for the burgeoning group.

Irfan said on his post: "Today the airport, tomorrow the world."

The Archie's business has seen huge growth in the past year, with a multi-million pound turnover boosted by their ability to switch to a strong delivery and takeaway model through successive lockdowns.

They unveiled their Trafford Centre £1.2m flagship restaurant in December, and have since revealed plans for a second Trafford Centre site at Barton Square to come this summer, as part of the business's 20 store deal throughout Europe and America with toy giant Nerf AX on their Nerf Action Experience.
