Arch Manning got Texas fans hyped as he took his first spring game snaps

While Texas football fans are still a ways away from seeing freshman quarterback Arch Manning in competition, they got a glimpse of him in action during the Longhorns spring game on Saturday.

While spring football scrimmages might not be appointment television except for the most dedicated college football fans, even casual onlookers might have been curious to see Manning in his first public snaps.

He’s the next generation to compete on the big stage in the most famous football family in the sport’s history, and no doubt there is plenty of excitement for what he’ll be able to do in the Lone Star State.

Texas fans in attendance also got to see Manning’s first throws at DKR Texas Memorial Stadium.

Texas coach Steve Sarkisian seems to be pleased with Manning’s development so far with the program.

Let’s just say Texas fans were plenty happy just to see Manning on the field in Longhorn burnt orange. The hype was palpable.

While it remains to be seen if Manning will start his first year at Texas over sophomore quarterback Quinn Ewers, the excitement for the freshman’s first official snaps with the Longhorns are sure to reverberate throughout the state.
