There are always foibles with maintaining a game like Arc Raiders, and unfortunately some issues lay in matchmaking right now. But fear not, if you're a player who's been having these problems, Embark Studios is very aware, and some form of hotfix is in the offing.
As much was announced by Ossen Julia, the community lead for Arc Raiders, on the game's official Discord server. "We're aware that matchmaking errors are happening again for some players," Julia writes. "Our team is investigating and we'll share updates as soon as we can."
They don't specify what the problems are, but posts on Twitter state wait times are longer than normal at the moment. "Last few days has been two-to-three minute wait times for a match," says one user. "10-minute wait times, matches with only me in them at least twice now," another person tweets.
These queueing times aren't exactly long, but for a game that's been extremely smooth and consistent in getting players into matches and since launching in late October, it feels more galling. "I give it two-to-three minutes then I back out and re-queue. I also assumed it's 'cause I'm getting queued for the 'friendly' lobbies," reads another poster.
Even though re-queueing appears to solve the problem according to people's tweets, that's still an annoying inconvenience and a drain on what might be precious time to actually play the game. Arc Raiders has garnered a strong reception since coming out a month-and-a-half ago, but those players can easily go elsewhere. Thankfully, Embark is on the case, and remedies should be rolled out in short order.
