Leeds leisure company Arc Inspirations is poised to open its latest venue in the city, creating new jobs.
The company behind brands including Banyan and Manahatta is opening the doors on new sports bar Box in Chapel Allerton on May 17, a few weeks ahead of the highly anticipated Euros.
Formerly the Pit, the 2,000 sq ft venue has undergone an transformation to become a destination venue to watch all major sporting tournaments, having invested in 14 Ultra HD screens throughout the bar, including in the newly refurbished outdoor terrace.
The new venture has created more than five full-time jobs in the area and owners Arc Inspiration said it will be a welcome addition to North Leeds.
The venue opens following the success of Box Leeds, which opened in late 2018.
CEO of Arc Inspirations, Martin Wolstencroft, said the lively atmosphere and food and drink available at Box have made the brand popular with even the most passive of sports fans.
Mr Wolstencroft said: ‘We opened the terrace on April 12, and it is already proving to be extremely popular with the locals.
“The entire venue will open on May 17 in line with the easing of lockdown restrictions and we are super excited to be adding this unit to our portfolio.
“It’s a great opportunity to provide a fun and relaxed environment for people with a shared passion for sport, socialising, great food and drink."
Open seven days a week, Box will offer local craft and international beers, cocktails, wines and spirits alongside a menu including the likes of Box pizzas, burgers, shawarma kebabs.
It says it will also be the only bar in Chapel Allerton with a bottomless brunch offering, and has plans to reintroduce live music and events, safety and restrictions permitting.
