Arbaaz Khan was recently questioned in an interview about the allegations of rampant drug use and sex in Bollywood. Reacting to the query, he called it a campaign and added that all those assertions have been instigated and planned.
Talking to a news portal, Arbaaz reportedly said that in India, there are just two professions that are held in high regard, cricket and acting. People in both these professions enjoy certain protection. While cricketers still enjoy the protection, stars have been demystified. Arbaaz added that if stars speak against the Government, they run them down. According to him, it is a campaign.
Elaborating further, Arbaaz added that this has been done intentionally because it can’t be that things have been happening for 100 years and in one year suddenly everything changed. According to him, it has been instigated and probably planned. He also added that the people who do this do not have millions of followers or a verified accounts.
Arbaaz also reportedly said that he realised people were taking these allegations seriously when friends and family members started calling to verify if what was said in the news was indeed true. Last year, the actor had filed a defamation case after posts and videos shared online claimed that he was involved in the deaths of Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian.
Arbaaz is currently away from films. He is coming up with the next season of his chat show.
