Arab Countries Evacuate Their Nationals From Wuhan

Two Egyptian and Algerian planes headed to the Chinese city of Wuhan on Sunday to evacuate their nationals.

Well-informed sources at Cairo Airport said that the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation plane, "Airbus 330", with 350 seats has headed to the virus-hit city with a specialized medical team onboard, including 7 doctors.

Meanwhile, the Algerian authorities said that a plane and a team of specialized medical staff headed to Wuhan to help evacuate 36 nationals, most of whom are students.

A number of Algerians residing in Wuhan urged their authorities to return them back home after the situation became worse.

For its part, Iraq has banned the entry of all foreigners coming from China over fears about the coronavirus outbreak, the interior ministry said on Sunday.

The viral outbreak which began in China has infected more than 14,550 people globally, the Associated Press reported.
