Arab Coalition Thwarts Houthi Attempt to Target Jazan with 6 Ballistic Missiles

The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said Sunday that it destroyed six ballistic missiles fired at Saudi Arabia by the Iran-backed Houthi militias.

Arab Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said the missiles were intercepted and destroyed before hitting civilian targets in the Saudi city of Jazan.

The missiles were fired from the Yemeni province of Saada, he said in a statement.

Maliki reiterated that the coalition has taken all necessary measures to destroy the Houthi capabilities and confront their terrorist acts that target civilians.

The repeated attempted attacks reflect the state of despair among the Houthis and underscore their losses on the ground in Yemen, he added.
