2 Civilians Killed in Houthi Rocket Attacks on Saudi Arabia

The projectile damaged a car in Najran.

Two people were killed on Friday in rocket attacks by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen against Saudi Arabia, said the Saudi-led Arab coalition.

The Saudi Civil Defense Directorate said a Saudi citizen and a Yemeni resident were killed in an attack on an industrial workshop in Jazan.

Six Saudis and a resident from Bangladesh were injured, while two stores and a 12 vehicles were damaged in the attack.

The second projectile damaged a vehicle in a village in the border region of Najran.

No one was injured in that attack, the coalition added.

It accused the Houthis of deliberately targeting civilians and civilian locations in flagrant violation of international law.

Moreover, it said the Houthis launched their attacks from Yemen's Saada.

In retaliation, it carried out a military operation to neutralize the threat, destroying two mountain caves in Saada that were used to store ballistic missiles and weapons.

It also destroyed four ballistic missiles and drone caches in the al-Mahwit province.
