The Saudi-led Arab coalition to restore legitimacy in Yemen has launched a relief campaign to help Yemenis who have been affected by heavy rain in the country.

Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said that the campaign will focus on the Aden region and nearby provinces.

The heavy rain has affected the people and infrastructure.

A humanitarian corridor will be opened to provide emergency relief to the people, said Maliki.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) is taking part in the effort, which includes providing food and medical aid, as well as shelter. Relief will also focus on restoring electricity to affected areas, reopening roads and pumping rain water.
