Arab Coalition jets carried out on Monday strikes against Houthi-held military positions in the Yemeni capital Sanaa.

Local sources told September.net that the strikes targeted the Houthis militias in the al-Aradi complex.

Two strikes hit the presidential palace in central Sanaa as witnesses said that Houthi militants were among the casualties.

Sources in Sanaa said that head of the so-called supreme political council Mahdi al-Mshat, head of the so-called revolutionary councils, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, and other officials were in the building at the time of the attack.

They said that the fate of Mshat and al-Houthi is still unknown.

All road leading to the presidential palace were blocked soon after, they revealed, as the Houthi militias went on high alert.

Earlier, local sources said that Arab Coalition raids targeted at dawn on Monday the Defense and Interior ministries that are under Houthi control in Sanaa.

Several of strikes were also carried out against Houthi positions and fortifications on the Ktaf, al-Malahit and Midi fronts, leaving dozens of militants dead and injured.

The strikes were carried out at a time when the national army was making advances in Ktaf, east of Saada.

Fierce battles were reported with the militias and the army managed to seize complete control of the al-Sobhan and Aboba al-Hadeed regions. The army also continued its advance on the Hiran directorate on the coastal Midi front northwest of Haja.
