Arab Coalition: Int’l Experts Report Had ‘Misleading Information’

Arab Coalition Spokesman Col. Turki al-Maliki. SPA

The Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen on Thursday dismissed as subjective and biased a report published earlier this week by prominent international and regional experts on Yemen.

"The report was based on a number of inaccurate assumptions by the international experts ... which stripped it of objectivity and impartiality," said a coalition statement published by the Saudi state news agency, SPA.

Spokesman Col. Turki al-Maliki said the Arab Coalition would provide a "comprehensive and detailed legal response" at a later time.

“The report is based on misleading information provided by unidentified third parties that have not been verified, as well as on allegations in the reports of some non-governmental organizations that have not been documented or verified, in addition to some media reports,” he pointed out.

The coalition said that it remained fully committed to carrying out its military operations under the rules of international human law and international human rights law.
