Arab Coalition Downs Houthi Drones Fired at Saudi Airports

Arab coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki. (SPA)

The Saudi-led Arab coalition to restore legitimacy in Yemen announced on Monday the downing of drones flown by the Iran-backed Houthi militias at Saudi civilian airports.

Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said Saudi defenses and royal air forces intercepted and downed the drones.

He described the repeated Houthi attempts to target airports and passengers as a violation of international humanitarian law and as war crimes.

The Arab coalition will continue to resort to “deterrent measures against these terrorist militias to neutralize and destroy their abilities” in line with international laws, vowed Maliki.
