The Saudi-led Arab coalition to restore legitimacy in Yemen announced Tuesday the downing of a drone launched by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militias in Yemen towards Saudi Arabia.
Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki said the aircraft was flown towards civilians and civilian infrastructure in the Asir region.
The alliance intercepted and downed the drone, he said.
The repeated failed militia attempts to target civilians reflect their terrorism in clear violation of international humanitarian law and norms, he added.
